The Professionals' Craft: A Team Approach for the Ultimate Periodontics
Sharing a reliable clinical diagnosis is essential for team medical care, and dentists and dental hygienists need to share their opinions and hold conferences to make basic periodontal therapy more effective. Therefore, by adding the etiology test to the conventional pathological test, "visualization" of dentistry is practiced instead of assumptions from experience. For the periodontal pathogenic bacteria test, we will use the sequencing method instead of the PCR method, and for inflammation, we added the high-sensitivity CRP value and BOP to clarify and control the "strength" and "inflammation." In this lecture, I would like to explain our medical care system for periodontal treatment through clinical cases.
Periodontal Treatment with Patients as a Team
In order to protect teeth from periodontal disease, it is necessary for patients to understand periodontal disease and for dental care workers to provide collaborative treatment. However, periodontal disease is a "silent disease," the condition progresses almost asymptomatic, so it is not easy for patients to recognize the disease to receive treatment. This lecture will discuss ways to improve motivation and build a good relationship between patients during periodontal treatment.
