  • The Sustainable Oral Health Care We Should Work on for the Next Decade

COVID-19 has changed people's lifestyles. Until now, preventive care has focused on clients coming to the dental clinic, however, from now, we must shift our attention to achieving results in home care.
The biggest difficulty in this regard is patient consistency in continuing proper home care treatments. The most effective solution is the “prescription for oral self- care”. In the near future this will require not only advising on oral care products, but also prescribing methods that can be sustained and practiced well at home.
In this part, we think about the oral health care goals that should be reached in the next 10 years.

  • Mission of the Dental Hygienist for New Epoch

Now that the world is at a turning point in a new era, we are also required to make a significant shift in our thinking and behavior, such as the announcement of a new classification for periodontal disease. However, dental hygienists have an unwavering mission to protect people's health. In order to respond to the changes of this era with a firm belief, it is necessary to look back on the past and propose care that meets the current needs. Then, why not check the mission of the dental hygienist once again?

  • The Role of Dental Hygienists in the Long-term Management of Patients

At the dental clinic, dental hygienists are in a position where they can easily notice changes in patients. When one patient is treated for an extended period, changes in the general condition, oral environment, and lifestyle are observed. In long-term management of the oral cavity, it is crucial to have a place where patients can return to their comfort zone, and convey necessary information to patients.
This lecture proposes self-care contents from the standpoint of a dental hygienist and introduces what professional care is in clinical cases.
