Asakusa is one of the oldest downtown areas in Tokyo, where you can enjoy the atmosphere of the good old days. The most famous tourist attraction in Asakusa is the Kaminarimon Gate of the Senso-ji Temple, where a big lantern is hung and two statues of fujin (the God of the wind) and raijin (the God of thunder) stand on both sides.
