World Top Sales Meeting held in Japan
From 19th to 24th October 2011(6 nights), we had the World Top Sales Meeting in Japan with TOP 90 of our dealer's sales representatives.
Our guests arrived in Tokyo on October19th and visited GC Corporate Center and R&D Center ion the following day. At GC Corporate Center, Mr. Makoto Nakao, President and CEO of GC Corporation welcomed our guests. They joined the company tour from 5th floor to 8th floor of Corporate Center which we call "Visitor Floors". The guests experienced many products such as equipment products, which are not available in overseas market but only in the Japanese market, so that they deepened their understanding of GC as a total dental manufacturer. Whereas at R&D Center, the researchers from R&D Department explained how our products were developed.
After the company tour, the guests moved to Atami, which is one of the most popular hot spring resorts in Japan. In the evening we held a Japanese style party "Enkai" at the Japanese style banquet room in Hotel New Akao. Everybody wore "Yukata", which is Japanese Kimono made by cotton, and enjoyed the party with Taiko drum performance, and Japanese Sake served by "Geisha Girls". Geisha girls also performed traditional Japanese dance. The guests also enjoyed hot spring during the stay.
On October 21st, all the guests joined the factory tour. GC Fuji Oyama Factory is located on foot of Mt. Fuji. Unfortunately it was cloudy in the morning and started raining in the afternoon; however some of the guests were lucky enough to see Mt. Fuji rising above the clouds. In the factory they learned how GC products were manufactured under thorough quality control.
The guests also attended the 3rd International Dental Symposium which commemorated the 90th anniversary of GC Corporation and 55th anniversary of GC Membership Society, held on October 22nd and 23rd at Tokyo International Forum.
On the last day of the event, the guests enjoyed sightseeing in Tokyo. In the evening, the farewell party was held on a cruise ship at Tokyo Bay. Our directors Dr. Kiyotaka Nakao and Mr. Henri Lenn welcomed the guests and appreciated for their achievements and cooperation in their sales. Everybody promised to get together next time at the GC 100th anniversary and left Tokyo with a big smile.
