Press Conference - Opening of GC Corporate Center
GC Corporation, established in 1921 as GC Chemical Research Laboratory, celebrates its 90th year anniversary in February of 2011, thanks to the support from our customers. This year also marks the 55th year celebration of GC Membership Society with so many of our customers joining us.
In such a memorable year, the newly built GC Corporate Center opened in March in the Hongo area of Tokyo as the new headquarter. It will serve as a place to create a new ideas and technologies with the customers and to experience the shared emotion.
The press conference was held on March 3, 2011. President Nakao presented the history of GC since its establishment, and GQM activities which we implement to enhance the quality of work and answer the customers' needs based on our corporate philosophy SEMUI. He also explained the Deming Prize and Japan Quality Medal, results of our activities.
He also announced that the VISION 2021 started, towards the 100th year.
We then introduced the Customer Floors (5th-8th floors) of GC Corporate Center. We guided the guests to the Lecture Floor, the space for holding symposia and lectures, the Simulation Floor where people can experience the interactive exhibits, Training Floor the space for holding Hands-on seminars, and Model Floor where people can image the actual clinical environment.
